Child360 Hosts Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (District 66) to Showcase Quality Care and Early Learning at Gardena Early Education Center

Discussion Focused on Advancing Active Legislation and Commitment to Early Childhood Education alongside Educators and Partners from LAUSD, LACOE and First 5 LA

Los Angeles, May 14, 2019 – On May 10, Child360 hosted Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (District 66) at Gardena Early Education Center. Bolstered by the support of Child360’s professional coaching, Gardena Early Education Center and its team of educators provide a quality care and early learning environment to more than 160 of the community’s youngest learners.

Assemblymember Muratsuchi engages with a classroom of toddlers, reading them a short book and talking about their favorite foods and activities during a visit hosted by Child360 at Gardena Early Education Center.


Assemblymember Muratsuchi expresses his commitment to early childhood education (ECE) and underscores the urgent need to adequately measure program and classroom success and make a compelling case for ECE funding.


Assemblymember Muratsuchi joins alongside educators and representatives from Child360, LAUSD, LACOE and First 5 LA to discuss proposed legislation in the early childhood education space, including AB 194 focused on addressing long childcare waiting lists at ECE sites by providing $1 billion in funding for additional childcare spaces; AB 324 that would provide guidelines on utilizing professional support stipends in ECE; and, AB 452 that proposes turning a loan program into a Childcare Facilities Grant Fund to support the construction of new childcare centers or the modernization of existing centers.
