Coincides with Sony Pictures’ highly anticipated release of A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Child360 announces its “Child360 Good Neighbor Week,” a week-long celebration to reinforce the enduring lessons of Mister Rogers – foundational to quality early learning and still relevant today. This week-long celebration will recognize the good work of early learning teachers, partners, friends, and families who truly embody the principles Mister Rogers shared with all of us.
Mister Rogers’ lessons are near and dear to everyone, teaching kindness, acceptance, helping behavior, gratitude, and trust – core values shared by Child360 and reflective of the important work of thousands of early educators across LA County.
Based in Los Angeles, Child360 is the leading nonprofit working toward a future where every child has the educational opportunities they need to succeed in school and life. Mister Rogers’ lessons are characteristics our world needs now, more than ever, and Child360 is reinforcing his teachings anew through its own work to strengthen quality early learning for every child.
The nonprofit’s focus coincides with Sony Pictures’ release of A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood on November 22nd.
Tom Hanks portrays Mister Rogers in A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, a timely story of kindness triumphing over cynicism, based on the true story of a real-life friendship between Fred Rogers and journalist Tom Junod. After a jaded magazine writer (Emmy winner Matthew Rhys) is assigned a profile of Fred Rogers, he overcomes his skepticism, learning about kindness, love and forgiveness from America’s most beloved neighbor.
WHEN: Monday – Friday, November 18 – 22, 2019
