Refreshed branding reflects nonprofit’s commitment to quality early learning, from every angle
LOS ANGELES — LAUP, a leading nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of early learning for children birth to five, is introducing a new name and logo representative of the organization’s growth, and bright future. The clarified name will launch on the organization’s digital and social channels, Tuesday, November 7, 2017.
“Our organization was established to support the care and development of Los Angeles county’s earliest learners,” said Scott Hippert, CEO, LAUP. “As we grew our scale and scope in LA County, we also took on critical action for children nationwide. To better support our vision of educational justice, we needed a name that puts every child’s success at the forefront, capturing our approach to support the whole child, beginning at birth—whether here in California or in our nation’s capital.”
As the organization continues to grow nationally, its LA County footprint will remain steadfast. Alongside trusted community partners, LAUP will continue to improve the quality of early learning and every component that impacts a child by elevating and enhancing program support, professional development, advocacy, research and community engagement.
LAUP’s staff and board played an integral role in reimagining a name and logo that clearly captures its mission. External experts from the fields of education and marketing provided guidance throughout the two-year process. The unveiling is timed with the organization’s move to a new office location at 515 S. Figueroa, in the heart of Downtown LA.
“While the name of LAUP changes, the vision that drives the organization is stronger than ever,” said Richard Martinez, Board Chair, LAUP. “And under the umbrella of the new branding, we’re strongly poised for further growth. We are excited to unveil our fresh look which envisions a future where every child will succeed in school, and life.”
